Level 3 diplomas in Engineering and Sustainability
Engineering is unusual among the subjects here because the gap between having and not having the right Level 3 grounding is so visible in the first term of a Level 4 course. The Foundation Diploma in Engineering exists to close that gap with six short units, half of them mathematical. It carries no UCAS Tariff points, and anyone hoping to use it instead of A level maths and physics for a university engineering degree will be disappointed. Its job is to lead to a Level 4 engineering diploma at LSPM.
Every diploma here is delivered, assessed and certified by London School of Planning and Management (LSPM), the approved centre. This site is LSPM's independent recruitment agent and is paid by LSPM on enrolment.

Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Engineering
Half of this diploma is maths in one form or another, and that is deliberate. Six units, 60 credits, built to close the gap between leaving school without A level maths and physics and starting a Level 4 engineering diploma.

Points, and the lack of them
None of the engineering and sustainability diplomas listed above has a UCAS Tariff value. If you already hold a scored qualification in a related subject, such as a BTEC National, add it up with the calculator before deciding you need one of these. If you have no points, or not enough, the diplomas are a regulated route to a Level 4 diploma in engineering and sustainability or a related subject at LSPM.
Not sure which route fits? Ask someone who will tell you straight.
We are an independent agent, not LSPM's sales team, and we will say whether a UCAS application, an Access course or a Level 3 diploma is the better option for you, even when the answer earns this site nothing. Replies within two working days.
